WELCOME TO THE SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 186 IN LITTLE RIVER (S.A.L.) The Sons of the American Legion was created in 1932 as an organized program within the American Legion. The S.A.L. is made up of men and boys of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the United States Armed Forces and became eligible for Membership in the American Legion. As Sons’, we place a high importance on preserving our American traditions and values, improving the quality of life for our nation’s children, caring for our Veterans and their families, and most importantly, teaching the fundamentals of good citizenship. As Sons of American Legion Post 186, we constantly strive to preserve the ideals on which our organization was founded and we invite all eligible male descendents of military Veterans to join with us to help continue our mission.
