WOUNDED WARRIORS VISIT MYRTLE BEACH

MARCH 2012

"Scents for Soldiers" brought 19 Wounded Warriors and some of their families to Myrtle Beach on 3-8-2012 from Bethesda & Belvoir Hospitals.  The ALR, along with Rolling Thunder, Patriot Guard Riders and several other motorcycle organizations and car clubs escorted them from the Welcome Center in Little River to Harbour Lights Resort for some well earned R & R!  The American Legion Riders from Post 186 & 178 sponsored a Pizza Party upon their arrival at the resort.

They had a schedule full of events to attend and people to meet, and on Monday, March 12th the American Legion and the Legion Riders of Little River sponsored a Fish Fry Dinner for the Warriors, families and those responsible for the trip.  We had a great time!

On Wednesday, March 14th, the Legion Riders and Rolling Thunder escorted these brave Warriors from Harbour Light Resorts to the South Carolina/North Carolina State line for their trip home.

Hopefully, we can become a permanent part of "Scents for Soldiers" schedule when they bring more Wounded Warriors to the beach!
